ROBOT VENTURE is...
A strategic initiative of the Hampton Roads Military and Federal Facilities Alliance in partnership with the Hampton Roads Chapter of AUVSI, Old Dominion University and the National Institute of Aerospace to establish a center for unmanned systems synergy and innovation to support military, federal, civil, and private sector applications. This initiative recognizes the unique confluence of air, maritime, and land environments in the Hampton Roads region of southeastern Virginia. These environments provide military operating airspace; tidal, littoral, and deep water; and federal and statecontrolled land in which unmanned systems test, experimentation, and operations could be conducted.
A broad-based group of stakeholders – representing all facets of the community of interest - is developing the plan to establish the collaborative effort among military, federal, civil, academic, and private sector interests. Potential partnerships and collaborative opportunities exist with Hampton Roads based stakeholders such as:
